Conte Core Management
The Conte Center for Neuroscience Research has four Cores providing administrative and experimental support to the Investigators.

Paul Gresch serves as the Co-Director of the Conte Bioanalytical Core. This core offers a variety of services, including receptor binding assays, mouse genotyping, microdialysis and neurochemistry assays.
Dr. Gresch and his staff interact with Conte Investigators and pilot grantees to determine experimental needs and develop assays.

Dr. McMahon, the Director of the Physiology and Behavior Core, will also head the Physiological Studies Unit. He is a highly experienced neurobiologist with more than 30 years experience in electrophysiology and imaging of the nervous system.
Physiological studies offered include visualized patch clamp electrophysiology of raphe neurons and hippocampal neurons.

Murine behavioral testing is available to Conte Center Investigators and their labs through the Laboratory for Neurobehavior. Opened on January 15, 2009, this 9000 square foot lab is one of the largest of its kind in academia in the United States.
Dr. Stanwood serves as the Co-Director of the Conte Center's Behavior Core, and coordinates testing between projects and core staff, and provides direction for projects requiring behavioral testing.

Bing Zhang is the Director of the Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Core for the Conte Center. The Bioinformatics core works with Investigators to improve experimental design, analyze microarray gene expression data, perform shotgun proteomics data analysis, RNA-Seq data analysis and to provide biological interpretation of -omics experiment results.
The Core also offers WebGestalt and DataView software applications for functional enrichment analysis and statistical analysis of microarray gene expression data.
